METSTRADE 2016: a unique combination of show, spectacle and knowledge sharing From 15 to 17 November, the METSTRADE Show will be held in Amsterdam again. This fair brings the worldwide nautical industry together in the RAI conference complex. Exhibitors from all over the world come to Amsterdam to show their innovations. More than 1,400 companies are expected from more than 50 countries. As every year, the audience, which will exceed 20,000, will be treated to the nautical cream of the crop.
In addition to the show, which covers the entire industry in three pavilions, events and conferences take place. For nautical professionals, the METSTRADE is a unique opportunity to share their knowledge with each other and the public. The side program is therefore certainly worth a visit to the METSTRADE.
Pavilions, events and conferences
The METSTRADE Show includes three pavilions: the Superyacht Pavilion (SYP), the Marina & Yard Pavilion (MYP) and the Construction Material Pavilion (CMP). These three pavilions each have their own concept, look, program and events.
The supporting program includes the Global Superyacht Forum, the Boatbuilders Awards Gala, the HISWA Symposium, the ICOMIA World Marinas Conference and the Sustainability Marine Industry Conference. The events Innovation Lab, with the nominees for the DAME Awards, the NMEA Seminars, Material Xperience on Tour, the Breakfast Briefing, on the first day of the show, and Construction in Process, this event will take place as expected at the Construction Material Pavilion.
SuperYacht Pavilion
The SuperYacht Pavilion is home to over 250 exhibitors, covering all aspects of superyacht construction and design. The Global Superyacht Forum is linked to the pavilion as an event. During this conference, hundreds of professionals come together to network, and hear from each other during keynotes, where the industry stands today. The superyacht market is pre-eminently a market where innovation and customer focus are central, so there will be a lot to discuss during the forum. All these innovations will also come to life on the show floor of the pavilion.
Marina & Yard Pavilion
In addition to building and designing boats, the harbor world is not forgotten either. In the Marina and Yard Pavilion, the latest developments in the field of marinas and marinas are displayed. This pavilion, with more than 60 exhibitors, may not be the largest, but it is certainly also interesting for the industry. The ICOMIA World Marinas Conference is linked to the pavilion. The combination of the two is a strong plus, and is emphasized by the organization. There is also a lot of innovation in this industry, including in the field of construction systems, cranes and, last but not least, safety.
Construction Material Pavilion
The Construction Material Pavilion is all about inspiration. Exhibitors show the latest materials, both raw materials and composites, and hope that this will give architects and designers new ideas. The Material Xperience allows visitors to smell, feel and experience what the new materials entail even further.
